Band Biography
It was a sunny day of the summer of 2001 when two young lads by the name of Patrick and David started thinking about what to do in their spare time.At this time pat played a guitar and dave played drums. They decided to start jamming. They put together some songs and liked to play them together but they felt a missing link in their new project.
Pat and Colin were already friends and always spoke of starting a band but never got serious about their dream until one day while they were riding in a car together. They talked about how dave and pat jammed alot but did not have a bass player. Colin's brother owned a bass and nothing was stopping Colin from picking him up. They talked about how it would be a cool idea for colin to play bass to join the band.
So that was it They started jamming. Pat showed Colin how to play along with his powerchorded guitar parts on his bass. Colin really liked this whole concept.
Colin started playing his brother's bass alot at home and really getting decent at this newfound interest.
This little Villa Park band that was called HomeTown Heroes (which we soon realized was already someone elses name)started jamming quite alot in Daves bedroom.
Soon after our first time jamming, Dave's drum teacher Mike offered us a gig. We were like so happy and we decided to accept it. We were not ready for this. We put together lots of songs that were junk and played them at this show. We were not experienced enough to play a show. But we all had fun.Our friends lied to us and told us that we were good, we did not believe them obviously because we know what we sounded like.
After this show we kind of realized that we need to write quality songs before we get booked for a gig.At this time we decided all we wanted to do was have lots of fun and practice lots and write lots of good songs.
after this, we kind of stopped practicing for a while and that really brought all of our hopes down.BUt we all had determination and inspiration and we finally started practicing again.By this time we all were better at our instruments.
We wrote some new songs that we really like and we actually started having music that we liked a little more.
We also decided that we need a new name, we had been throwing ideas around for a while and one day Dave was like our name should be Society's Finest. That name rung a bell in all of our heads and we decided it was a keeper.
I guess that brings us to a conclusion. Hopefully our band will progress and become likeable and now that all of you know the story of your favorite band, you should start coming to our shows.
-Colin

Pat- Pat plays the guitar for our band. He also may sing for us but who knows. He plays a Epiphone Les Paul copy. He plugs into a marshall head and marshall 4x12cab.

Colin- Colin plays his brothers bass guitar. It is an Epiphone P-bass copy.He has a Ampeg b2 head and a fender 115 cab. He also was a bassist for a local rapper.

Dave-Dave is our drummer. He likes to keep a wild and funky beat on the pigskins. He does a darn good job of it too..Dave plays on a Pearl Export set w/ Sabian cymbals.

Joe- Joe is our second singer. He only performs in one song and that is a great one. He likes to pretend he is Manny Fresh. He does a good impression also.Soon enough joe will learn how to play guitar like he wants to and will most likely be becoming our rhythm guitarist.he will soon get a Ephiphone S-G and a Rogue 100watter.Ladies please control yourselves.
